Monroe County Tax Collector

The Tax Collector’s office is an independent constitutional office responsible for providing a wide range of services to the citizens and taxpayers of Monroe County. The Tax Collector is a limited and specialized agent for various state and local governmental units, including but not limited to, Florida Department of Revenue, Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture, numerous ad valorem taxing districts and non-ad valorem taxing districts. The public funds we collect help support schools, hospitals, first responders, mosquito control, waterways and more. Our mission is to exceed expectations in customer service, and we are committed to effectively and efficiently serve the needs of our community.
